Care & Maintenance
Upkeep
Show your new piece with pride, but handle it with care.
Please protect it, especially around small children and animals.
Careless hands and wagging tails can damage your art.
Children should only touch or hold it under supervision.
Your sculpture has a coat of wax to protect its finish.
Dust as needed with a feather duster or its equivalent.
Repair
Scratches
Your carving has a coat of wax to protect the finish.
You can often make small scuffs disappear by applying a thin coat of furniture or paste wax.
Let it harden, and then buff the affected area with a soft cloth.
Breaks
I may be able to restore the piece. A photo will help me decide.
You can try to repair it yourself. If it breaks, save all the parts and brush off any dust.
Apply glue sparingly to each surface and push them snugly together.
Wipe off any excess glue while keeping firm pressure on the break.
Reapply wax if needed.
