Sidor Sculpture Studio

 
 

Ellen Sidor has been a professional artist since 1979.

Stone carving was her passion for 26 years. She taught carving in outdoor studios in the rich summer atmosphere of the Outer Cape - Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet.  Since she moved to the Southwest, her work concentrated on ceramic and mosaic sculpture produced in her two kilns. Two mask series have been completed, one on recovery and the other on wounded war veterans.  Her most recent works are outdoor wall mosaics incorporating mirror pieces and vibrant colors fired at her studio.

Ellen’s work has been described as “impressive, cool, sensuous, remarkable,” and “the classic pose of suffering and sadness”.

Many artworks are here to be enjoyed: outdoor and indoor stone sculpture, mosaics and masks, raku bowls, funky ceramic animals, books and notecards.
